| Description | M-CSF protein.Macrophage colony stimulating factor (M-CSF) is one ofthe glycoproteins called colony-stimulating factors (CSFs).A mononuclear phagocyte colony-stimulating factor (MCSF) synthesized by mesenchymal cells. The compoundstimulates the survival, proliferation, and differentiation ofhematopoietic cells of the monocyte-macrophage series.Some clinical investigations have shown autologous production of MCSF various human cell lines in vitro and bytumors in vivo.Recombinant human M-CSF produced in E. coli is adisulfide linked homodimer, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing 2x159 amino acids and has atotal molecular mass of 36.8 kDaRecombinant M-CSF is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
