| Description | Purity >99% by HPLC. Selective and potent stimulator of soluble guanylate cyclase (sGC) (effective dose ~ 0.1 nM to 100 µM using recombinant sGC). The mode of activation is NO-independent and appears to be mediated through direct binding to the a1 and a2 subunits. Inhibits phenylephrine-induced constriction of rabbit aortic rings (IC50 = 0.3 µM) and blocks collagen-induced human platelets aggregation (IC50 = 36 nM). Does not inhibit phosphodiesterases. It inhibits the development of chronic hypoxic pulmonary hypertension in rats. Sold under license from Bayer |
