| Description | Purity ~90% (SDS-PAGE and visualized by silver stain). Endotoxin: ≤1EU/ug (LAL). Tie-1 (human 1138 aa; mouse 1134 aa) is a type 1 membrane receptor protein specifically expressed in developing vascular endothelial cells. Murine and human Ang-1 are 498aa secreted angiogenic proteins. It is only 60% homologous with Ang-2. Ang-1 is the natural ligand for Tie-2 and is primarily expressed in developing endothelial cells. Source: DNA sequence encoding human angiopoietin-1 (Ser20-Phe 498; Q5HYA0) fused with a 6X histidine tag at the C-terminus, expressed in NS0 cells. Molecular Mass: Based on N-terminal sequencing, the recombinant human angiopoietin-1 protein starts at Ser 20 and has a calculated molecular mass of 56kD. As a result of glycosylation, the recombinant protein migrates as an approximately 70kD band in SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions.
