| Description | Sample Type: Serum, plasma and tissue homogenates Intended Use: For the quantitative determination of mouse interleukin 12 (IL-12/P70) concentrations in serum, plasma and tissue homogenates. Sensitivity: 6.970pg/ml Range: 15.625-1000pg/ml Specificity: This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of mouse IL-12. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between mouse IL-12 and analogues was observed. Test Principle: This BioAssay™ employs the quantitative sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. Antibody specific for IL-12 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any IL-12 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for IL-12 is added to the wells. After washing, avidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added |
