Focal adhesion kinases (FAKs) are non-receptor tyrosine kinases that play roles in regulating diverse processes, including cell adhesion, spreading, migration, proliferation, and apoptosis. They are over-expressed in many types of cancer. Y11 inhibits FAK1 autophosphorylation by blocking phosphorylation of Y397. At 100 µM, it was shown to decrease cell viability of T47D breast cancer and C8161 melanoma cell lines. |
