| Description | Purity >98% by HPLC. A potent and selective PPAR? agonist (EC50 values for transactivation of human and murine PPAR? are 0.55 and 0.78 µM, respectively). No activation of PPARa-and PPARd has been observed at concentrations > 10 µM. It also induces cell cycle arrest and apoptosis in several cancer cell lines with an EC50 of 10 µM. It was withdrawn from the market due to serious idiosyncratic hepatotoxicity. It inhibits Hhistone Deacetylase activity in breast cancer cells. |
