| Description | SDHB Monoclonal Antibody (OTI3F5). Part of the succinate dehydrogenase complex, SDHB is a mitochondrial protein that interfaces with the catalysis of succinate dehydrogenase. In many gastrointestinal tumors, SDHB is irregularly expressed, and leads to mutational activation of KIT. This may be as a result of elevated oxidative stress caused by mitochondrial dysfunction. In Dutch populations, there is a higher prevalence of mutations in the SDHB gene, and a higher overall level of hereditary paraganglioma and pheochromocytoma syndromes than in other Europeans.
