| Description | NAMPT Polyclonal Antibody. The recently discovered adipocytokine Visfatin is a visceral fat specific protein which has been shown to exert insulin-mimetic effects in insulin-sensitive tissues such as liver, muscle and fat. Visfatin can bind to the insulin receptor and visfatin plasma levels increase with obesity. Based on their properties, adipocytokines are likely to play critical roles in metabolic syndromes such as obesity and diabetes. |
