| Description | Purity >98%. Amisulpride is a potent and selective antagonist of the dopamine receptors D2 and D3 (Ki = 2.8 and 3.2 nM, respectively, for the human receptors). It has no or low activity at numerous other receptors and channels. Amisulpride has found use as an antipsychotic in schizophrenia and related illnesses. It is also a potent antagonist of the serotonin (5-HT) receptors 5-HT2B and 5-HT7 (Ki = 13, 11.5 nM, respectively), with the latter effect thought to explain the antidepressant actions of amisulpride. |
