| Description | S-peptide Epitope Tag Monoclonal Antibody (6.2). The S-Peptide epitope tag (S-Tag (TM)) can be used for numerous applications which include the analysis of localization, expression detection, and purification of polypeptides from mammalian cells. The small size of the tag (15 aa), the ability to purify tagged polypeptides without antibodies, and the very low expression of endogenous tissues in mammalian cells that react with S-Peptide make the S-Peptide antibody an attractive alternative to many existing epitope tags. Epitope tagging is a powerful and versatile strategy for detecting and purifying proteins expressed by cloned genes.
