| Description | IL10 protein.Interleukin-10 is produced by murine T-cells following theirstimulation by lectins. The main source for B-cellderivedInterleukin-10 in mice are Ly-1 B-cells that express CD5and CD11. Murine keratinocytes also produce IL10.In humans IL-10 is produced by activated CD8+ peripheralblood T-cells, by T-helper CD4 T cellscell clones (resemblingTh0, Th1, and Th2) after both antigen-specific and polyclonal activation, by B-cell lymphomas, and by monocytesfollowing cell activation by bacterial lipopolysaccharidesand mast cells. B-cell lines derived from patients withacquired immunodeficiency syndrome and Burkittslymphoma constitutively secrete large quantities of IL-10into the conditioned medium. The synthesis of IL-10 bymonocytes is inhibited by IL-4 and IL-10.Recombinant human Interleukin-10 produced in CHO isa non-covalent dimer of 2 polypeptide chains containing161 amino acids each.
