| Description | Bacillus Spore Antigen Polyclonal Antibody, Biotin. Bacillus is a genus of rod-shaped, Gram-positive bacteria and a member of the division Firmicutes. Bacillus species are either obligate or facultative aerobes, and test positive for the enzyme catalase. Bacillus includes both free-living (nonparasitic) and parasitic pathogenic species such as B. anthracis, which causes anthrax, and B. cereus, which causes food poisoning. Under stressful environmental conditions, the bacteria can produce oval endospores that allow them to remain in a dormant state for very long periods. |
