Description | PNR Polyclonal Antibody. The photoreceptor-specific nuclear receptor (PNR) is a recently identified nuclear transcription factor. PNR expression pattern appears to be restricted in the retina, specific to photoreceptor cells. PNR has been shown to share structural similarity with TLX, an orphan receptor. Despite distinct differences in the DNA binding domain, studies have shown that PNR is capable of recognizing a subset of TLX target sequences in vitro. Recent studies suggest that PNR plays a support role in the regulation of signaling pathways intrinsic to the photoreceptor cell function. The corresponding gene for the PNR is NR2E3. |
