| Description | Purity ~97% (SDS-PAGE, HPLC). MIA2 performs as a tumor suppressor in hepatocellular carcinoma. MIA2 is a novel acute phase protein which its expression is found in the liver and reacts to liver damage in chronic liver diseases and is considerably higher in severe fibrosis patients. MIA2 is induced by IL6, TGF- and conditioned medium from activated hepatic stellate cells. MIA2 is is mainly expressed in hepatocytes. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to human Melanoma Inhibitor Activity Protein 2, a single non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 101aa, expressed in E. coli. Molecular Weight: ~11.5kD (101aa) Applications: Suitable for use in SDS-PAGE. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
