The reduced monomer consists of 404 amino acids and predicts a molecular mass of 44.6 kDa. As a result of glycosylation, the apparent molecular mass of rh EDAR/Fc monomer is approximately 52 kDa in SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions. A DNA sequence encoding the human EDAR (NP_071731.1) extracellular domain (Met 1-Ile 189) was fused with the Fc region of human IgG1 at the C-terminus. |
