| Description | GH-22K protein.Placental growth hormone, or growth hormone variant(GH-V), is a member of the growth hormone gene family.Its physiologic role during pregnancy remains undefined.Although extensive work has been done characterizingthe signaling pathways activated by hGH, the signalingpathways which are activated by GH-V have not beencharacterized.Human placental GH (GH-22K) replaces pituitary GH during pregnancy. GH-22K is correlated to serum IGF-I innormal pregnancies and in pregnancies complicated byfetoplacental disorders.Recombinant Placental Human GH-22K produced in E.coli is a single, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing 192 amino acids and having a molecular massof 22.367 kDa. GH-22K has dimished lactogenic (prolactin receptor mediated) activity characteristic to pituitaryGHs.Placental Growth Hormone is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. MW: 22 kDa.
