| Product Name | Trelagliptin |
| Description | Purity >98%. Dipeptidyl peptidase 4 (DPP-4) is an intrinsic membrane glycoprotein that acts as an exopeptidase, cleaving oligopeptides after the second amino acid from the N-terminal end. One of its substrates is glucagon-like peptide 1, an incretin that stimulates insulin biosynthesis and secretion while inhibiting glucagon release in a glucose-dependent manner. Trelagliptin is a pyrimidinedione-based, long-acting inhibitor of DPP-4 (IC50 = 4 nM). It demonstrates >10,000-fold selectivity over other peptidases. Trelagliptin has been used to improve glucose tolerance and postprandial plasma insulin levels in Zucker fa/fa rats. In 2014 this compound underwent phase III clinical trials. |
