| Description | Purity >98% by HPLC. Lipid mediator and analogue of anandamide that is involved in feeding regulation. A PPAR-a agonist (EC50 = 120 nM) in vitro and in vivo, induces satiety through activation of PPAR-a. Does not activate cannabinoid receptors and is also a ceramidase inhibitor. Impairs glucose tolerance and inhibits insulin-stimulated glucose uptake in rat adipocytes through p38 and JNK MAPK pathways. Also a potent GPR119 agonist. |
