| Description | Purity >98% by HPLC. Na+ O-Product Description: ReferencesPotent inverse agonist at CysLT1 (LTD4) leukotriene receptors (EC50 = 1.3 nM). It antagonizes LTD4-induced contractions of guinea pig trachea and ileum (pA2 values are 9.4 and 10.5 respectively). The cysteinyl leukotrienes (CysLTs), LTC4, LTD4, and LTE4, mediate their actions through two distinct G-protein coupled receptors. LTD4 is the preferred ligand for the cysLT1 receptor, whereas LTC4 and LTD4 bind with approximately equal affinity to the CysLT2 receptor. MK 571 is also an inhibitor of the multidrug resistance protein-1 (MRP1) mediated transport. |
