| Description | Benzodiazepine Antibody LS-C55937. This product reacts with Oxazepam and is known to react with the related benzodiazepines; Desmethyldiazepam, Lorazepam and Diazepam. Benzodiazepines are a family of anti-anxiety drugs that act by depressing the reticular activating system (RAS) in the brain stem that controls the level of mental activity by stimulating higher centers of the brain. This is achieved by increasing the inhibitory affect of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) on the brain cells thus preventing excessive activity. |
