| Description | Semaphorin-4C, also known as KIAA1739, SEMAI and SEMA4C, is a single-pass type I membrane protein which is a member of the semaphorin family. SEMA4C contains one Ig-like C2-type domain, one PSI domain and one Sema domain. SEMA4C is a cell surface receptor for PLXNB2 that plays an important role in cell-cell signaling. PLXNB2 binding promotes downstream activation of RHOA and phosphorylation of ERBB2 at 'Tyr-1248'. SEMA4C is required for normal brain development, axon guidance and cell migration.
